It’s time for back-to-school planning! We know that teachers do so much to put together an amazing calendar for their class every year. That’s why we want to highlight some of our handy resources to support you and help craft those lesson plans.

Build up your activity shortlist with our latest additions

We are always adding to our library of hundreds of activities, giving you lots of content to work with. Check out our latest activities and ready-to-use lesson plans.

Don’t forget that you can build your own lists of favourites right in the Power Smart for Schools website. When viewing an activity, just click Save on the right side of the screen to add it to one of your lists or to create a new list. On any page of our site, click on your name and select Favourites lists to see your lists.

Inspire teamwork and friendship in the classroom

As the new school year starts, you want your classroom to learn to work together (and younger students probably still have ants in their pants). Check out our group work activities and our games for some ways to spark collaboration and focus.

Tackle climate change in the class, where all change begins

Climate change is an increasingly critical topic to cover in classrooms, and it can be challenging to find productive ways to introduce it to students. Our materials on climate change can help guide you through that conversation at all grade levels.

Beam us into your classroom 

We offer virtual classroom presentations presented by our Community Outreach team over Zoom. These presentations, tailored to all grade levels, talk about how energy works, how our hydroelectricity system works, and about the importance of conservation in our practices.

Presentations must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Learn more and submit your request if you’d like to invite us into your class this year.
