Thanks for taking part in our 2nd annual Boost your Power Smarts competition. Over 100 classrooms across B.C. took part in this video quiz challenge as a fun and exciting way to inspire energy education.
Your teams did a great job and deserve a pat on the back. Congrats to all the lucky prize winners:

On Dave's Conservation Challenge:
"The Water Week activities were appropriate for all of the grades I was teaching. I teach Home Economics, so while the activities were geared more for the Science curriculum, I found that they were great for all types of classes. We had very good discussions around how we use water and why it should be conserved even though we have plenty of water available to us here in Canada. My colleagues and I felt that it was an important subject to discuss in our Foods classes as water impacts our daily lives in more ways than the students realize."
This past October, we challenged grade 4 to 7 classrooms across the province to test their power smarts with a weekly electricity-themed video quiz.
For completing the quiz, teams were entered into weekly draws for a chance to win education resources and games. The teams with the highest overall score at the end of October were entered into a grand prize draw for a school visit from BC Hydro and Science World.
