Background info

In this unit, students explore how electrical components and circuits work together to create technologies that improve everyday life. Through hands-on investigations, they test components, compare circuit designs, and gather evidence to determine which solutions are most effective for specific needs. Students apply engineering design processes to plan, build, test, and improve an electrical prototype that addresses a real-world problem. Throughout the unit, they use criteria and evidence to make design decisions while considering safety, reliability, control, and energy efficiency.

Adaptions/modifications

Each activity offers potential modifications and extensions suggestions.
